Ivory Coast return to the FIFA World Cup 2026 stage for the first time since 2014, and they do so against a side that has quietly become one of the best-organised defences in the tournament. Ecuador, unbeaten in 19 games, arrive in Philadelphia with a point to prove at a fifth World Cup, looking to end back-to-back group-stage exits.
