This notice explains how Bet Football collects and uses personal data when you visit the site. We process personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Bet Football is operated from the United Kingdom by Acroud Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14184155, with its registered office at 14 London Street, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 2PA. Acroud Media Ltd is part of Acroud AB and is the data controller for this site.
Data protection enquiries go to [email protected], or by post to the address above marked for the attention of the Data Protection Lead.
Information you give us directly, which in practice means the content of any email you send to one of our inboxes and the address you send it from.
Technical information collected automatically when you visit, including your IP address, device type, browser, referrer and the pages you view.
Analytics events, where you have agreed to non-essential cookies, collected through Google Analytics so that we can see which pages work and which do not.
Marketing attribution data, where you have agreed to marketing cookies, so that a betting partner can credit us for a referral.
We do not collect payment details, we do not hold betting accounts and we never receive your login credentials for any bookmaker.
We use technical data to operate the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, relying on our legitimate interest in running a working and protected website.
We use analytics data to understand which articles are read and how people move through the site, relying on your consent given through the cookie banner.
We use marketing attribution data to establish which referrals to our betting partners came from this site, again relying on your consent.
We use the contents of your email to answer it, relying on our legitimate interest in responding to readers.
We use personal data to comply with our legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims where that becomes necessary.
Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings in the footer, and withdrawing it does not affect processing that has already taken place.
When you click through to a bookmaker from this site, that operator may be told you arrived from here, usually through a tracking parameter in the link, and that is how our commission is calculated.
It does not tell us your identity, your account details or anything at all about your betting.
Once you are on the operator's website you are covered by their privacy policy rather than ours, and we have no control over what they collect.
The site is hosted and served through our own infrastructure, and images and other assets are delivered from our content delivery network at cdn.betfootball.com.
Web fonts are self-hosted and served from our own domain — no font data is requested from Google or any other third party when you load a page.
Where you have accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics processes usage data on our behalf; where you have accepted marketing cookies, our betting partners' attribution tools do the same. The cookie banner names Google Analytics before you make your choice, and nothing from it loads until you do.
We disclose personal data where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.
Some of the services we rely on are operated by companies based outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal data is transferred out of the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations where they apply, and otherwise on the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with an assessment of the protections in the receiving country.
Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted or reduced to aggregate figures that no longer identify anyone.
Marketing attribution data is retained for 12 months, which covers the period in which a referral can be credited or queried.
Email correspondence is kept for 24 months after the matter it relates to is closed, and longer only where we need it to defend a legal claim.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to be told what personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted in certain circumstances, and to have our processing restricted while a dispute is resolved.
You can object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can object to direct marketing at any time without giving a reason.
You also have the right to receive certain data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within one calendar month, we may ask you to confirm your identity first, and there is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, tell us first and we will try to put it right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Bet Football is intended for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls and regular review of the services we rely on.
No website can promise perfect security, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us over the internet.
We update this notice when our practices change, and the date at the top shows the last revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
