If something on Bet Football is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Errors happen on any site publishing to a kick off deadline, and the test of a publisher is not whether it makes them but what it does once one has been pointed out.
A correction is any change to a published article that affects the facts, which covers a wrong scoreline, a misattributed quote, a line-up error or an odds figure that was already out by the time the piece went live.
Fixing a typo is not a correction and does not need a note attached to it.
We update the article, stamp a short note at the top of the page explaining what was wrong, and leave the original publication date in place so the timeline stays honest.
The byline stays with the editor who signed off the original, because moving it would be a way of quietly disowning the mistake.
Where an article is wrong at its foundation rather than in one detail, it is unpublished and replaced with a note explaining why. Taking a piece down without saying so is not a correction.
Updates are a different thing again. A preview amended because the team news changed is marked as updated rather than corrected, on the basis that it was accurate when it was written.
Match previews are corrected fast because kick off is the deadline, and we aim to act on a flagged error within an hour during working hours.
Anything raised overnight is dealt with first thing the following morning.
The Editor makes the final call on every correction.
Email [email protected] with the address of the page and what is wrong with it, including a source where you have one, because a link to the club statement or the competition's own record is worth more than a paragraph of explanation.
A real reply, from a real editor, normally lands the same day.
Odds and promotions change without notice and we cannot guarantee that a price here matches what a bookmaker is showing at the moment you read it, so the operator's own terms always take precedence.
Tell us anyway if you find an offer that has expired or terms that no longer match, because those pages are fixed on the same basis as everything else.
We cannot resolve a dispute between you and a betting operator, because Bet Football does not hold accounts, take deposits or settle bets.
Take the complaint to the operator first, and if it has not been resolved within eight weeks a Gambling Commission licensee is required to refer you free of charge to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider, with the route explained on the Commission's own website.
Tell us as well, because a pattern of complaints about a partner is grounds for us to drop them.
A person or a club who believes they have been reported on unfairly can put that to the Editor through the contact page, and we will respond.
