Leeds have not lost at Elland Road this season, and Manchester United arrive without having kept a single clean sheet in the Premier League.
That is the collision at the heart of Sunday's game. The hosts sit seventh on nine points after a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal last weekend. The visitors drew 1-1 with Tottenham at Old Trafford on 10 October and have won only once in six league games.
Leeds have conceded just five goals in six games. United have shipped nine. Something has to give, and the evidence so far says it will not give very far.
Leeds have been hard to beat all season. They have won two, drawn three and lost one of their six league games, and the only defeat came at the Emirates. Their 4-1 win over Newcastle on 14 September remains the high point. Since then they have drawn 0-0 with Crystal Palace and lost at Arsenal.
At Elland Road they have scored five and conceded two in three games, averaging 1.7 goals for and 0.7 against. They have kept two clean sheets in total and failed to score once. They also average only 44.8 per cent possession over their six games. This is a side that sits deep, defends well and relies on moments.
United have drawn three, lost two and won once, taking six points from six games. The win was a 5-2 thrashing of Ipswich on 30 August. Since then they have drawn at Everton and Fulham, lost 1-0 at home to Manchester City and drawn with Spurs.
They dominate the ball, with 58.2 per cent possession and 20.8 shots a game, but have not turned that into results. Four of their nine goals have come between the 61st and 75th minutes, and four of the nine they have conceded came in the last 15. They have failed to score in two of six.

Form guide ahead of Leeds v Manchester United
Leeds have won two, drawn three and lost one of their last six in the league. United have won one, drawn three and lost two. Both sides have drawn exactly half of their games, so the headline figures are close. The underlying numbers are not. United average 1.75 expected goals for against Leeds's 1.41, and they out-shoot opponents by a wide margin. Leeds have been the more efficient side, conceding 0.83 per game to United's 1.5. Leeds have the better results and United have the better process. Neither has produced a convincing run, and the draws suggest that is unlikely to change on Sunday.
Leeds v Manchester United in the Premier League table
Leeds are seventh with nine points from six games and a goal difference of +3. They sit one point behind fifth-placed Everton, Brentford and Chelsea on ten, and four behind third-placed Brighton on 13. Manchester City lead the table with 18 points from six wins.
United have six points from six games, three behind Leeds. A win would draw them level on nine. A defeat would leave them with six points and a clear gap to the sides in the top half. For Leeds, victory would lift them to 12 points and into the chasing group behind City and Arsenal, while a draw would keep them level with the pack on ten.

Manchester UnitedHead-to-head record: Leeds v Manchester United
The last ten meetings produced five draws, one home win and four away wins, with 2.7 goals per game. Both teams scored in six of the ten (60 per cent) and four went over 2.5 goals (40 per cent). The most recent meeting was a 1-1 friendly at Croke Park on 12 August 2026, which United won 5-4 on penalties. In the Premier League, Leeds won 2-1 at Old Trafford on 13 April 2026 after leading 2-0 at half-time. The meeting before that was a 1-1 draw at Elland Road on 4 January 2026.
The pattern points to tight games with a goal at each end. Away sides have done well in this fixture, and Leeds's April win is the freshest example. The over 2.5 rate of 40 per cent suggests the goal line is better avoided. Both teams to score at 60 per cent looks more reliable, and 1-1 is the most likely correct score.
Where this fixture is won and lost
The biggest gap is territorial. United take 20.8 shots a game against Leeds's 11.8, with 5.3 on target against 3.8. They also win more corners, 6.7 a game to Leeds's 4.3. If United keep that volume, they will create chances.
The second gap is at the back. Leeds have conceded 0.83 goals a game with two clean sheets. United have conceded 1.5 with none. Leeds do not need many chances to take something from the game, because their expected goals against figure of 1.47 is also higher than their actual concession rate. Whether that regression arrives at Elland Road is the question. Our read is that United will have the ball and Leeds will make them pay for a mistake, but a second goal for either side is far from certain.

Leeds v Manchester United betting tips
The value sits in the draw and in a low-scoring game with a goal at each end. Leeds have conceded no more than two in any league game and United have yet to score more than two in a league game away from home. Both teams have scored in four of their last six. The bet builder leans on that mix of caution and an goal apiece.
