Fiorentina's home problem meets Juventus's defensive record
Fiorentina have not kept a clean sheet in Serie A this season. That is ten games, 23 goals conceded and a relegation scrap that is only a point away from becoming a real one.
They did at least end a miserable run last Monday week, winning 4-2 at Sassuolo on 2 November. It was their second away win of the season and came four days after a 2-2 draw with Atalanta at the Franchi.
The problem is that home comforts have been scarce. Juventus walk into Florence with a back line that has allowed fewer than a goal a game in the league outside of one bad night against Genoa, and a visiting side that looks organised by comparison.
Fiorentina's season so far
Fiorentina sit 16th on 8 points from 10 games. They have won two, drawn two and lost six, with a goal difference of minus eight. Their home record is the worst part of it: no wins, two draws and three defeats, with five scored and 11 conceded at the Franchi.
The heavy defeats tell the story. They lost 4-0 at Roma on 24 August and 3-0 at home to Frosinone five days later. Since then they have shipped three at home to Como (1-3 on 18 October) and lost 2-1 at Inter on 25 October. Their expected goals against is 1.57 per game over the last ten, so the leaks are not bad luck.
Juventus arrive with momentum and a gap to close
Juventus are seventh on 17 points, six behind fourth-placed Como. They have won five of their last ten league games, drawn two and lost three, and beat Napoli 2-0 in Turin on 1 November.
The form is uneven. A 2-0 defeat at Genoa on 28 October came three days before that Napoli win, and a 3-0 home loss to Lazio on 18 October is the heaviest of the season. Yet 13 goals scored and 10 conceded, with five clean sheets, is the profile of a side that wins narrow games. They are not prolific, but they rarely give much away.
A win in Florence would take them to 20 points, level with sixth-placed Frosinone.

Form guide ahead of Fiorentina v Juventus
Over the last ten league games Fiorentina have won two, drawn two and lost six, scoring 15 and conceding 23. Juventus have won five, drawn two and lost three, scoring 13 and conceding 10. The raw record favours the visitors comfortably. The wrinkle is that both sides have lost to opponents they would be expected to beat, Juventus at Genoa and Sassuolo, Fiorentina at home to Torino and Frosinone. Fiorentina's four-goal haul at Sassuolo suggests the attack can function, but nine of their last ten games have gone over that line, and that is a symptom of defending, not attacking flair.
Fiorentina
JuventusFiorentina v Juventus in the Serie A table
Fiorentina are 16th on 8 points from 10 games. They are level on points with Sassuolo and Parma, and one clear of 18th-placed Monza on 7. Udinese, bottom on 5 points, and Venezia on 6 have each played 11 games. The gap to Juventus above them is nine points.
Juventus are seventh on 17 points from 10 games, with a goal difference of plus three. They are three behind sixth-placed Frosinone and six behind Como in the final Champions League place. A win keeps that gap manageable. A defeat leaves them in the pack of Napoli and Bologna on 14. For Fiorentina, another home loss would leave them looking over their shoulder at the bottom three with the season barely a quarter old.
Head-to-head record: Fiorentina v Juventus
The last ten meetings have produced three draws and an average of 2.0 goals per game. Both teams scored in only three of them (30%) and just two went over the 2.5-goal line (20%). The latest was on 17 May 2026 at the Allianz Stadium, where Fiorentina won 2-0. The last meeting at the Franchi finished 1-1 on 22 November 2025, and Fiorentina won 3-0 there on 16 March 2025.
Those numbers say these games are tight and low-scoring, which sits awkwardly beside Fiorentina's current habit of playing in matches with plenty of goals. We side with the history on this one. Juventus's expected goals against is 0.57 per game over their last ten, and their games have produced fewer goals per match than Fiorentina's in aggregate. That points to the under and to Fiorentina struggling to score, even though they beat Juventus last time out.
Where this fixture is won and lost
The biggest gap is at the back. Juventus concede about a goal per game, as noted, and have an expected goals against of 0.57 over their last ten. Fiorentina concede 2.3, with an xGA of 1.57. That is a gulf of more than a goal per game on both measures.
The second is territory. Juventus average 57.9% possession and 7.9 corners per game, against 45.3% and 4.8 for Fiorentina. Shots are almost level (15.4 for Juventus, 15.9 for Fiorentina), so Fiorentina will get chances. But Juventus will spend longer in the final third, and set pieces are where a side that scores late and rarely in open play can find a way through.

Fiorentina v Juventus betting tips
The cleanest angle is the visitors' defence. Juventus have kept five clean sheets in ten, Fiorentina have scored in eight of ten but have lost six of them, and the head-to-head history leans towards low-scoring games. Our headline pick is the away win, and the two goal-based picks that follow lean on Juventus's tight record. The bet builder pairs the result with the under 2.5 line and a striker who leads the line.
Under 3.5 goals
Under 3.5 goals is rated at 70%, with our goals model alone at 74% and the market at 69%, so it is the likeliest outcome in its market. Fiorentina have scored 14 goals from 10.3 xG over their last seven matches with xG data, 3.7 more than the chances suggest, and that kind of gap usually narrows (tagged to the finishing driver). Their nine-match scoring run and six-game conceding run point the other way, but the overperformance behind both is the sort that fades. A 1-1 draw is our predicted score, and it lands this tip comfortably, as the line only needs three goals or fewer in total.)
