Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
According to Sky Sports, talks between the two parties are at an advanced stage.
There is also said to be a willingness from both sides to get a deal done before the transfer deadline at the end of August.
Reports suggest both a loan with an obligation to buy and a standard permanent deal have been discussed.
Recent and potential departures will help the Red Devils get a deal over the line, with Facundo Pellistri completing his move to Panathinaikos and Hannibal Mejbri being linked with Burnley.
Sky say Ugarte is desperate to join up with Manchester United and a deal could be agreed for around €60million.
🔴🇺🇾 Manuel Ugarte has always been the priority for Man United as midfielder.
Despite rumours in recent weeks about United leaving talks to focus on different targets, Ugarte has always been waiting for #MUFC move.

Erik ten Hag is also open to recruiting other options, including Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, who spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan in Manchester.
He would be a much cheaper option than Ugarte, unlike Frenkie de Jong.
Ten Hag has been a long-term admirer of the Barcelona maestro and his price may have come down now the Dutchman is in the final two years of his contract.
