Ivan Toney is set to earn the equivalent of £1million a week after completing his move to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.
The 28-year-old was linked with a move to a host of the Premier League’s top clubs, including Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
But in the end, he did not get a move to another English club and opted for Saudi Arabia.
According to The Telegraph, his four-year deal in Saudi Arabia will be worth £400,000 a week after tax, with it rising to £500k after bonuses.
For him to earn the same in the United Kingdom, he would need to be on wages worth £1m a week.
It marks a significant increase for Toney, who was on less than £50,000 a week at Brentford.

He almost missed out on his move to Saudi as well, with Al-Ahli exploring a deal to sign Victor Osimhem at the same time, only for the Nigerian striker to decline the move.
It makes him one of the best-paid English players and was nearly stuck for another season at Brentford in what would have been the final year of his contract.
He follows in Jordan Henderson’s footsteps in moving to the SPL.
Toney will line up against Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo for his first game after the international break.
He was snubbed by Lee Carsley for a spot in the England squad as they prepare to face the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
