Despite losing their Euro 2024 final to Spain, England have risen to fourth in the latest FIFA rankings.
In the first release by the world governing body since the conclusion of the European Championship and Copa America, the Three Lions climbed a place to fourth.
Their conquerors Spain have leapt up from eighth to third, still behind France, who stay second, while World Cup winners Argentina retain top-spot following their extra-time win over Colombia in Miami to land a second consecutive continental crown.

Portugal dropped two spots to eighth while Croatia slipped out of the top-10 to 12th after their early exit in Germany.
The nation making the biggest leap was Venezuela, up to 20th from 37th, having beaten Ecuador, Mexico and Jamaica before a last-eight exit on penalties.
Turkey’s reward for their quarter-final run at the Euros is to climb 16 places to 26th.
The biggest fall went to the Czech Republic, who drop from 34th to 47th, one place above Scotland who dropped nine places after their group stage exit in Germany.
