Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson admits he has been poor in front of goal since moving to the Premier League.
The Blues spent big in the summer but have failed to make much progress under Mauricio Pochettino and sit ninth in the table – just three places above 12th spot they occupied at the end of 2022-23.

Jackson joined the West Londoners in the summer after impressing for Villarreal last term, where he netted 12 goals in 26 LaLiga appearances.
The 22-year-old is in double figures for the campaign but has also been highlighted for a lack of composure in the final third.
Jackson himself has admitted that he needs to improve to help Chelsea break back into the top four and ultimately challenge for silverware.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think I should have scored more with the chances I missed.
“It’s good, but not what I wanted to be when I came – to play Champions League next season.
“Everything happens for a reason and we try to fight next year. Even if I scored 10 or 15, the most important thing is for the team to be as high as possible and make the fans happy. Then the goals will come.
“Trying to improve every day. The most important [thing] is being available for the team, helping the team and playing.
“I miss a lot but I’m trying to create more chances and score more. Hopefully next year it’s going to be better.”
Chelsea are a whopping 32 points behind league leaders Arsenal and have not won a major trophy since their Champions League triumph in 2021.
Todd Boehly’s acquisition of the club has marked a new era for the Blues but so far they have not had much to shout about having been the dominant club in the capital for so long.
They face rivals Tottenham on Thursday at Stamford Bridge as Pochettino looks to complete the double over his old club.
