Tottenham youth product Oliver Skipp will watch Spurs visit Leicester City as a Foxes player on Monday night after completing a move between the clubs for a reported fee of more than £20 million.
The 23-year-old will be reunited with Steve Cooper, who managed him at England Under-17s and Under-18s level between 2016 and 2018 and took over as Leicester boss in June.
“There’s definitely a good relationship there and I’m keen to push on and show what I can do,” Skipp told City’s website, describing himself as “really excited” after signing a five-year deal.
“I’ve got the feeling that it’s a good group of people and a good group of players. I’m sure we’ve got a squad capable of challenging in every game.
“You look around the squad and there are lots of exciting players who have played in the Premier League.”

Skipp transfer completed
A Uefa Euro Under-21 winner with the Three Lions in 2023, Skipp spent 16 years at Spurs, making his competitive debut in October 2018.
The midfielder made 106 appearances for Tottenham, as well as winning the Championship during a loan spell with Norwich City in 2020-21.
His new club repeated that feat under Enzo Maresca – who left for Chelsea shortly before Cooper’s appointment – last season, making an immediate return to the top flight.

Leicester v Tottenham
Leicester’s first game of the campaign (20:00 BST) comes against a Tottenham side who finished fifth last season.
“I had conversations with the people here and they gave me a feeling of warmth and that they were excited to have me on board,” said Skipp.
“As a player, when you feel that excitement, that’s something you can use to develop your game.”
Skipp could make his debut when Leicester visit Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (3pm).
