Jurgen Klopp’s potential replacement Arne Slot has broken his silence on the reports linking him to the Liverpool job.
The Feyenoord manager has admitted to the media that he would like to become the next head coach of the Reds in the summer.

Slot, 45, says he is “confident” that an agreement can be reached to relieve him of his duties in the Netherlands despite his contract running until 2026.
Speaking to ESPN, he said: “I’d like to become new Liverpool manager, my decision is clear.
“Feyenoord and Liverpool are in talks to negotiate, I’m waiting to see what will come out of it.
“I am confident, waiting for the clubs to reach an agreement.”

Feyenoord won their 16th Eredivisie title under the guidance of Slot last season, fending off PSV Eindhoven and winning the league by 12 points.
The Dutchman commands a free-flowing, attacking team and shares a lot of philosophical beliefs as Klopp, making him a popular choice at Anfield.
Liverpool had previously been linked with Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim, but both rumours broke down before they really got going.
The Merseysiders are still in with a chance of winning the Premier League before Klopp rides off into the sunset but they are now relying on Manchester City and Arsenal to slip up.
Regardless of the outcome, appointing Slot would represent a new start for the Reds as they look to challenge on all fronts in 2024-25.
