Bayern Munich: Double joy for Kane as he nears comeback

Harry Kane is on track to make his return when Bayern Munich face Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker this weekend.

England captain Kane sat out the international doubleheader against Brazil and Belgium over the past week due to an ankle injury he sustained in Bayern’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt on March 16.

He trained alone on Tuesday but the Bundesliga champions announced he joined in parts of team training today as he gears up for Dortmund’s visit to the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

In further good news for Kane, he is set for an emotional return to former club Tottenham this summer after Spurs and Bayern confirmed plans for a pre-season friendly in North London on August 10.

The fixture, which is part of the Visit Malta Cup, will also see another ex-Tottenham player, defender Eric Dier, take on his old club.
