Crystal Palace hosts Newcastle on Wednesday evening as The Eagles look to secure their third win on the bounce after putting five goals past West Ham.
This is Palace’s second match in just four days at Selhurst Park, following their incredible 5-2 victory against David Moyes’s side.
They are up against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, who occupy 6th place in the Premier League table.
The Magpies are also coming off the back of a significant scoreline having put four goals past Tottenham last time out.
Two in-form sides looking to extend their winning runs make for a potentially high-scoring and entertaining tie.
Match details
Oliver Glasner’s side has shown signs of a team rediscovering its confidence after securing three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five league matches.
This included a 1-0 victory away at Anfield and Sunday’s stunning 5-2 victory in front of their home fans.
Meanwhile, the visitors have only lost one in the last five in the Premier League in a five-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge.
The Eagles will be keen to upset another team in the top half and make it four wins from six.
Eddie Howe, however, will be hopeful his side can extend their unbeaten league run to five from their last six and close the gap to Tottenham in fifth place.
Expected Line-ups
Glasner is expecting a return to the squad for Adam Wharton, but will be without Rob Holding who is ruled out of the tie.
The Magpies are hopeful of Callum Wilson’s return to the side on Wednesday night; however, they remain without Joe Willock and Lewis Miley.
