Wolves have agreed a £12.7 million fee with Portuguese club Braga to sign winger Rodrigo Gomes on a five-and-a-half year deal.
Atletico Madrid, Bournemouth and German teams were interested in Gomes, according to The Athletic, but he will now join the team who finished 14th in the Premier League in 2023/24.
The Portugal under-21 international spent last season on loan at midtable Primeira Liga team Estoril, producing nine goals and eight assists in 36 appearances.

The deal is similar to the amount Wolves spent on their most expensive signing last season, when they bought Jean-Ricner Bellegarde from Strasbourg in September.
Wolves transfer news: ‘Big summer’
Wolves only appointed Gary O’Neil days before the start of the 2023/24 campaign and the head coach has moved quickly in the market ahead of his first pre-season in charge.
In an impressive start to his time at Molineux, O’Neil had put Wolves in contention for European qualification before a run of one win in 11 matches in all competitions in the run-in.
Speaking during the final week of the season, O’Neil said his thoughts were “more around trying to make sure we improve”.
“When you’re in the week-to-week, you’re really blinkered and narrow minded around the next game,” he explained.
“[The summer] allows me to look up for a second and start to look at the bigger picture and where we need to get to.
“It’s going to be a big summer for us. We have been found short this year with the numbers we’ve had and the depth we’ve had, so we’re going to look to address that.”
Premier League ‘ruthless’ – O’Neil
“I’m going to try to address some of the issues we’ve had on the pitch during pre-season,” added O’Neil. “If we can get both of them right – recruitment and team understanding – there’s no reason that we can’t do better again next year.
“The Premier League is ruthless and will find your weaknesses, and over the past few months it has. But maybe it’s a time where it gives us a little jab in the ribs.
“Going into the summer, it gives us fresh impetus and we need to improve things to be even more competitive.”
