Kylian Mbappe is set to be unveiled by Real Madrid next week, according to reports.

The 25-year-old announced he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent this summer after delivering yet another Ligue 1 title to the club.

But having failed to win the Champions League during his time there, Mbappe is seeking a new challenge in Europe to match his ambitions.

Madrid have just won their 15th European crown, this time at Borussia Dortmund’s expense.

And president Florentino Perez is already speaking about the next one, saying: “I think that we are already focused on the next one. We want the 16th.”

By adding Mbappe to their ranks, Los Blancos will be stronger than ever in the 2024-25 campaign.

Jude Bellingham has been a revelation in Spain alongside Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo but they will now have to make room for the Frenchman.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal is now done and Mbappe has signed his contract as a new Real Madrid player.

In a social media post, he said: “Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO!

“Every document has been signed, sealed and completed. Real Madrid, set to announce Mbappe as new signing next week after winning the Champions League.

“Mbappe made his decision in February; he can now be considered new Real player.

“Real Madrid have prepared formal announcement for Kylian Mbappe next week.

“Kylian will then focus on the Euros and then start Real chapter in July.

“This won’t change Rodrygo’s future who is still planning to stay, same for Arda Guler and Endrick.”

Mbappe had another prolific season in France, scoring 44 goals in all competitions and adding a further 10 assists.

He has been one of the most sought-after players in the last few years but his contract at PSG has prevented him from making the move to Madrid sooner.

Now his shackles have been unleashed and he will be looking to make an instant impact in the Spanish capital.
